Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement between you and Bespoke Intermedia LLC, a Florida limited liability company, doing business as DecipherU.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using DecipherU, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Description of service

DecipherU is a career platform for the cybersecurity industry. The platform provides data-driven career guides, certification analysis, salary data, behavioral career assessment, and AI-powered career tools. Content is synthesized from public federal data sources including the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MITRE ATT&CK, O*NET, and the National Vulnerability Database.

Account registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. One person may not maintain more than one account.

Subscription tiers and pricing

DecipherU pricing is denominated in United States Dollars (USD). All invoices, statements, and Stripe charges are issued in USD. Customers outside the United States are responsible for any currency conversion costs charged by their bank or card issuer.

DecipherU offers the following subscription tiers:

• Free: $0. Access to career guides, certification guides, salary data, and a limited set of scenario exercises.
• Defender: $49 per month. Unlimited scenarios, cybersecurity intelligence feed, daily threat quiz, and standard assessment access.
• Operator: $129 per month. Everything in Defender plus AI Coach, Range training environment, full assessment library, and priority feed updates.
• Frontier: $299 per month. Everything in Operator plus AI Strategist with persistent memory and quarterly Strategic Career Report, AI Adversary in Range, course early access, priority candidate placement, and the DecipherU Annual hardback (annual subscribers).
• Squad: $400 per month for 5 users. All Operator features for small teams; suited for study cohorts and consulting practices.
• Enterprise: Custom pricing starting at $50,000 per year. Contact sales for managed assessments, SSO, candidate workflows, and white-label options.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard, and your access continues through the end of the current billing period.

Refund policy

DecipherU offers refunds on the following terms:

• Subscriptions: 14-day refund from the date of first charge while course completion is under 25% across the bundled curriculum. After 14 days, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current period; annual subscriptions are non-refundable. Refund issued = 90-day re-purchase lockout on any tier that includes the completed courses.
• Single elite courses ($497-$697): 7-day refund from the date of purchase while you have completed less than 10% of the course. After 7 days or above 10% completion, refunds are case-by-case. Refund issued = 90-day lockout on re-purchasing the same course or subscribing to any tier that includes it.
• Foundation courses ($297-$397): 30-day refund from the date of purchase, gated on completion of Module 1. The completion gate is the commitment device.
• Course bundles: 7-day refund from the date of purchase while bundle-wide completion is under 10%. Past 10% completion, we offer to keep one course at the standalone price and refund the difference.
• One-time products: 14-day no-questions-asked refund from the date of purchase if the deliverable has not yet been sent. If the deliverable has been sent, the product is non-refundable.
• Coaching engagements: Live 1:1 coaching is paused. No coaching products are currently sold. This refund line will be restored when coaching reopens; in the meantime the Frontier-tier AI Strategist (included in the Frontier subscription above) is the AI-augmented equivalent and follows the subscription refund terms.

One refund per customer across DecipherU lifetime, matched by Stripe customer ID and email. Service-issue refunds (work that did not match what was promised) do not count against this cap.

To request a refund, email support@decipheru.com or visit /refund-policy. Refunds are processed within 7 business days back to the original payment method.

Pause subscription

Active subscribers may pause their subscription for 1 to 3 months from the account dashboard. While paused, billing stops and platform access is suspended. At the end of the pause window, the subscription resumes automatically at the prior rate and the original tier. You can pause once per 12-month window without manager approval.

Content accuracy and disclaimers

Career guides, salary data, and certification analysis are synthesized from publicly available data sources and are provided for informational purposes only. DecipherU is not a career counselor, financial advisor, or employment agency. Salary figures represent statistical medians and may not reflect compensation in your specific geography, employer, or role variation.

Behavioral assessment results are based on validated psychometric frameworks (RIASEC/Holland Codes from IPIP markers) but are not clinical diagnoses. They are intended to support career exploration, not to make definitive career decisions on your behalf.

Scenario exercises and AI evaluation

Scenario responses are evaluated using AI (Anthropic Claude) to provide feedback and compute behavioral dimension scores. AI evaluation is probabilistic and may not always perfectly reflect your capabilities. Scores are used for career matching and personal development tracking, not as pass/fail assessments.

Content generation and AI assistance

DecipherU's career insights are developed by Julian Calvo, Ed.D., M.S., with AI-assisted research and drafting. Career guides, salary analyses, certification comparisons, and industry briefings are drafted with the help of large language models, then reviewed and edited by DecipherU Editorial.

All content is grounded in verifiable data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, O*NET OnLine, and industry compensation databases. Content is refreshed monthly to ensure accuracy. AI serves as a research and authoring tool; all methodology, framework design, scoring models, and editorial standards are developed and maintained by the DecipherU team.

We display attribution statements on content pages to maintain transparency about AI usage. Our commitment: the methodology is ours, the data is verified, and the AI is the engine, not the architect.

Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and data synthesis on DecipherU is owned by DecipherU and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The underlying federal data (BLS, MITRE ATT&CK, O*NET, NVD) remains in the public domain or under their respective licenses. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from DecipherU content without permission.

“DecipherU Framework” and “DecipherU Methodology” are trademarks of Bespoke Intermedia LLC. The DecipherU Framework, including assessment methodologies, scoring models, dimensional frameworks, and career pathway algorithms, is proprietary intellectual property of Bespoke Intermedia LLC.

User-generated content

Assessment responses, journal entries, and profile information you create on DecipherU remain your intellectual property. By using the platform, you grant DecipherU a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your responses for: AI-augmented scoring and feedback, behavioral analysis and career matching, anonymized research, and platform improvement.

You may delete your content at any time by deleting your account. Upon account deletion, all personal content is permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data that has already been incorporated into normative baselines may be retained, as no individual can be identified from this data.

Prohibited use

You may not use DecipherU to submit AI-generated scenario responses, create multiple accounts to manipulate behavioral scores, scrape content or data from the platform, or impersonate another person. Violation of these terms may result in account termination.

You also may not:

• Share, reproduce, or distribute exam questions or proprietary training content through the platform
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to scrape, collect, or systematically download platform content
• Use assessment results for employment screening without the explicit, informed consent of the assessed individual

Limitation of liability

DecipherU is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for career outcomes, employment decisions, or financial losses based on information provided by the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

DecipherU does not guarantee career outcomes, employment, salary levels, certification exam results, or job placement. All career guidance provided on this platform is educational in nature. Results depend on individual effort, market conditions, geographic factors, and many variables outside our control.

One-time product terms

DecipherU offers one-time purchase products including the Cybersecurity Resume Review ($49) and Salary Negotiation Report ($29). These are delivered electronically within 48 hours of purchase. One-time products fall under the 14-day no-questions-asked refund window if the deliverable has not been sent. If we fail to deliver within the stated timeframe, you may request a full refund by contacting support@decipheru.com. See the full refund policy for terms across all DecipherU products.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of DecipherU will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Miami-Dade County, Florida, or remotely at your election. The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only, not as a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Bespoke Intermedia LLC or DecipherU.

Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in Miami-Dade County, Florida, for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bespoke Intermedia LLC, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
