Accessibility across DecipherU product surfaces
Each interactive surface on the DecipherU cybersecurity career platform is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Below is what to expect on the newer surfaces.
- •Range training environment. Full keyboard navigation across the scenario timeline, command palette, and evidence panel. Screen readers announce adversary moves and incident state changes via ARIA live regions. AI adversary dialogue is captioned in a synchronized text panel; captions can be paused, replayed, and exported. Reduced-motion users see a static playback mode that skips kinetic transitions.
- •Hiring marketplace. Candidate-facing forms (profile, opt-in, role preferences) and employer-facing forms (job post, candidate review) follow accessible form patterns: labels associated with every input, inline error messages tied to the corresponding field via aria-describedby, and focus management on validation. Required fields are marked with both color and a star glyph announced by screen readers.
- •Threat gamification (Phishing Detector, Pattern Recognition, daily threat quiz). All games are keyboard accessible: arrow keys to highlight, Enter to select, Tab to move between groups. Screen reader users hear question text, answer options, and a result announcement after each round. Color is never the only indicator (correct or incorrect carry both a color and an icon plus text). Timed rounds can be set to no-timer mode.
- •Pause subscription flow. The pause-instead-of-cancel flow in the dashboard is keyboard-only navigable. Each step of the wizard has a heading, a clear primary action, and an explicit cancel-this-flow button. Screen readers announce the resulting pause window and resume date after confirmation. Confirmation emails repeat the same information in plain text.
