Copyright complaints
Bespoke Intermedia LLC, operating as DecipherU. Updated October 12, 2026.
DecipherU lets people send in practice questions and notes, and it publishes its own questions and explanations. We respect copyright and we ask you to as well. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, send us a notice as described below. If you believe we removed something by mistake, send a counter-notice. This page follows sections 512(c)(3) and 512(g)(3) of the U.S. Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512).
Where to send it
Copyright agent, Bespoke Intermedia LLC: copyright@decipheru.com. Use this address only for copyright notices. Questions about exam content, such as a question that looks like a real exam question, go to editorial@decipheru.com, and we treat those the same way.
A notice of infringement
A notice has to include all of these, or we may not be able to act on it:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or that of a person authorized to act for the owner.
- A description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed. If one notice covers several works on this site, a list of them.
- A description of the material you say infringes, and enough information for us to find it, such as the page address.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner of the right or authorized to act for the owner.
Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages, including costs and attorney's fees.
What we do with a notice
When we receive a notice with those elements, we remove or disable access to the material, tell the person who posted it, and give them a copy of the notice. If the material came from a visitor, we tell them how to send a counter-notice.
A counter-notice
If you posted material that we removed and you believe it was removed by mistake, send us:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district where that address is (or, if it is outside the United States, the Southern District of Florida), and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the notice or that person's agent.
We send the counter-notice to the person who filed the notice. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have filed a court action, we restore the material between 10 and 14 business days after we received the counter-notice.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts, and block further submissions, of people who are repeat infringers. Two valid notices about the same person's submissions is repeat infringement for this purpose. The terms say the same.
Real exam questions
We do not want real exam questions, recalled or leaked. Our questions are written from public exam outlines and primary sources, and a submission that appears to come from a real exam is rejected. If an exam owner believes a question on the site comes from a real exam, write to copyright@decipheru.com with the question address; we review it quickly and take it down while we do.
