Cybersecurity career plan · Squad
Team cybersecurity training, 5 seats.
Squad is the 5-seat plan for cybersecurity teams. Each seat gets Operator-equivalent access. Manager dashboard tracks skill gaps, certification progress, and engagement across the team. Range leaderboards turn training into team practice. Founder-led onboarding workshop kicks off the engagement.
Squad is for you if
- ✓ You manage a team of 5 cybersecurity practitioners (or aspiring practitioners) and you need to level them up together.
- ✓ You want a manager dashboard showing each team member's certification progress, Range performance, and skill gaps so you can have data-driven 1:1s.
- ✓ You want team Range leaderboards to drive friendly competition and shared practice.
- ✓ You want centralized billing instead of expensing 5 individual subscriptions.
- ✓ You want a founder-led onboarding workshop to kick off the engagement.
Pick a different plan if
- → You are an individual learner. Pick Defender, Operator, or Frontier instead.
- → Your team has more than 25 cybersecurity learners. Pick Enterprise instead — Squad does not scale beyond 25 seats.
- → You need SSO, SCIM, or a custom DPA. Pick Enterprise.

How Squad actually gets used
A typical Squad team runs the cybersecurity skill games as a daily standup warm-up (5 minutes), targets 1 Range scenario per week per member, and books a quarterly internal review where the manager dashboard data gets discussed. About 80% of Squad teams ship 2+ certifications per member per year — measurably faster than ad-hoc training spend.
Squad questions and answers
Can I have fewer than 5 seats on Squad?
No. Squad is fixed at 5 seats minimum at $400 per month because the manager dashboard, leaderboards, and onboarding workshop only make sense at team scale. For 1-4 people, individual Operator subscriptions cost $516 total but include each member's quarterly founder call. Squad starts paying off at 5 seats and beyond.
What happens when a team member leaves?
Reassign their seat to a new team member from the manager dashboard. The departing member's Range Credentials and Phishing Detector stats stay with them on a transferred individual account. Their team-level performance data moves to the team archive.
How does the Squad onboarding workshop get scheduled?
Within 7 days of subscribing. The team manager picks 3 candidate slots from the dashboard; Julian confirms one. Workshops typically happen Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon US-Eastern.
Can Squad members earn Range Credentials?
Yes. Range Credentials are issued at the individual level — they belong to the team member, not the company. This is intentional: when a team member changes jobs, their credentials go with them. Companies get credit for funding the practice; individuals get credit for completing it.
