EPA 608
HVAC and refrigeration technicians need EPA 608 certification by law. The test has four 25-question sections, each passed on its own: Core (rules, ozone and climate, safety), Type I (small appliances), Type II (high-pressure systems) and Type III (low-pressure systems).
Federal law requires EPA Section 608 certification for anyone who maintains, services, repairs or disposes of equipment that could release refrigerant into the air. Universal certification means passing the Core and all three Types. 40 CFR 82.161 (Technician certification).
Practice and timed mocks are free, with right or wrong on every answer and your total score. The full analysis is $39, once.
