The exam is adaptive
ISC2 delivers the CC exam by computerized adaptive testing: 100 to 125 items in a maximum of 2 hours, with a passing grade of 700 out of 1000. Every candidate sees at least 100 items, 25 of them unscored pretest items. After 100 items the exam ends as soon as ISC2 can tell with 95% confidence that you are above or below the pass point, so the length varies by candidate.

Free exam codes end December 31, 2026
ISC2 stopped accepting new One Million Certified in Cybersecurity participants on May 20, 2026. People holding exam codes that have not expired may schedule and take the exam by December 31, 2026. Without a code the exam fee is US $199.
