BCBA

The BCBA is the graduate-level credential for behavior analysts who design and supervise ABA services. The exam tests concepts and principles, measurement, experimental design, assessment, behavior-change procedures, intervention selection, supervision and the Ethics Code, mostly through applied scenarios.

Forty states license behavior analysts, and every one of them offers a pathway through the BCBA credential. In 2025, more people retook the BCBA exam than took it for the first time. BACB, A summary of US behavior analyst licensure laws (Regulatory Brief).
