Agentforce (announced September 2024, GA October 2024) is Salesforce's AI-agent platform for service, sales, and marketing automations grounded in the customer's Salesforce data. The 2025 Salesforce Annual Report disclosed Agentforce as the company's strategic AI bet, with pricing per conversation rather than per user.
Why this matters in 2026
Agentforce's per-conversation pricing model (announced October 2024) was the first major enterprise-SaaS pivot away from per-user pricing for an AI surface. The decision is being studied as the new pricing template for AI agents in enterprise applications.
