EU AI Act Prohibited Practices

Article 5 of the EU AI Act enumerates AI practices that are prohibited within the EU regardless of who deploys them. Examples include real-time remote biometric identification in publicly-accessible spaces by law enforcement (with narrow exceptions), social scoring by public authorities, exploitation of vulnerabilities of specific groups, and subliminal manipulation that causes harm.
