MDR

Managed Detection and Response. A cybersecurity service where an external provider monitors, detects, and responds to threats on behalf of an organization. MDR combines technology (EDR, SIEM) with human analysts who investigate alerts around the clock. Organizations that cannot staff a full SOC use MDR for expert coverage.
