Kill Chain

A model that describes the stages of a cyberattack from early reconnaissance through final objective completion. The Lockheed Martin Cyber Kill Chain defines seven phases: reconnaissance, weaponization, delivery, exploitation, installation, command and control, and actions on objectives. Defenders aim to break the chain at the earliest stage.
